Bullard Company to Expand Manufacturing Facility based upon Projected Growth in Modular Pipe Systems for Loading Racks and Process Pipe

Ottawa Lake, MI - Bullard Company is pleased to announce plans for an 8,000 square foot addition to their existing manufacturing facility. Bullard Company is also constructing a 3,000 square foot building at Ottawa Lake for their contracting division. When counting their Toledo manufacturing facility - Bullard Company will have 35,500 square feet available for manufacturing. A target completion date will be set upon approval by county engineers.

The need for more space is credited to the success of Bullard Company's ability to package process pipe into modular units for groups of above ground pipelines, pipe bridges, trusses, racks and loading racks. These "pick and place" pipe systems save money (up to 20%) over conventional designs that utilize typical piece-by-piece "in field" pipe construction methods. In the photo below, a 5 man crew installed pipe at an ethanol facility under construction at a rate of 1000 lineal feet every 6 hours using Bullard Company's "pick and place" modular pipe bridge sections.

This rate of construction (1000 feet of pipe/ 6 hours) is accomplished because no pipe fitting in the field is required. In addition to reducing project cost, other advantages offered by Bullard Company's Modular Pipe Systems include:

  • Faster installation
  • Fewer on-site certified welders required
  • More control over labor
  • Less chance of on-site accidents
  • Less chance of cost escalation due to labor shortage
  • Less impact on production
